Soar Through the Clouds While Enjoying High Definition Entertainment

The majority of passengers on domestic and international flights prefer to have access to in-flight entertainment. Surveys show that 41% of airline passengers watch movies, 21% of airline passengers read magazines or books, and 17% of airline passengers prefer to sleep. Which do you prefer?

According to TripAdvisor’s 2013 Air Travel Survey, 25% of respondents would choose one airline over another if it offered WiFi. It is obvious that passengers are looking for technological amenities like in-seat USB power, in-flight entertainment systems, and other convenient aircraft interior products when they are traveling.

To attract passengers, the management of airlines are on the look for reliable aircraft display systems. The manufacturers are in great demand to produce aircraft display systems that are easy to use as well as predictable and stable. It is very upsetting for passengers when they have just settled down, are enjoying a good movie and the whole system has to be rebooted. The same thing goes for businessmen who are trying to meet a deadline by making a report on their computer and their in-seat power goes out.

Yearly at the aircraft interiors expo, manufacturers push their new and improved monitors for both the back of the seats or overhead and seat chargers. They continually try to improve the technology used so they stand out from the crowd. Advances include two formats, including the solo (a single outlet) and quatro (four outlets). They also have upgraded their technology so that the power goes off when no device is plugged into the USB port.

Airlines are aware that more than 3 out of 4 domestic trips taken are for leisure purposes (78%). Aircraft display systems play a big part in how satisfied passengers are with their trip. On average, every day more than 8 million people fly. Passengers usually recommend an airline to friends if they enjoyed the experience. They also share criticism if the adventure or amenities are not up to par. This means the airlines must have aircraft display systems that are FAA approved and reputable.

For those involved in the aviation industry, especially in the maintenance field, it is imperative that they have a FAA certified repair station. So while entertainment and convenience are amenities that are sought after, the most crucial issue is that of safety. Make sure the airline that you choose has access to a FAA approved repair station.
